Wow - playing hard to get is still alive and well it seems.
If you’re talking all the time I’d definitely say there is interest in engaging in some of friendship/relationship/interaction. Why wait for him to make the first move? Play it cool, keep it casual and simply put forward… a coffee, a drink, a beach walk, a rock climbing date… to name a few. It doesn’t have to be over the top, it can just be a ‘Hey, what are you up to on Saturday? Feel like going for brunch in Surry Hills?’.
What’s the worst that can happen?
He says No (with no plans to reschedule) - great, now you know. He’s not that interested in seeing you in person. Pretty self explanatory.
He says No (but offers an alternate solution) - Terrific! He can’t make brunch but you certainly can make sunset drinks at Opera Bar the following day. Sounds great. See you there.
He says Yes (he’d love to. You’re a catch. It’s a no brainer) - All you had to do was ask… maybe he’s a slow starter OR maybe he wanted to make sure you liked him too…
Ladies, the dating game is no fun sometimes but all you can do is put your best groovy shoed foot forward. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.
